Are you a business owner looking to sell your business and contemplating selling to an international buyer?

Maybe the thought hasn’t even crossed your mind, or you need to know more about it. SuccessionMatching would like to announce the release of a new workshop focused primarily on Alberta business owners exploring the options and benefits of selling to an international buyer.

SuccessionMatching is an industry expert in immigration through business succession in Canada and Alison Anderson, CEO & Founder, often speaks on this subject on the national stage. Through the sponsorship of Community Futures, this workshop was facilitated in July and this recording will be made available until December 31st, 2021.

Who should attend? This workshop was designed  for business owners who are interested in transitioning and community organizations that are interested in learning more about the process.

It provides an overview on how business owners in Alberta can get their business ready for sale while entertaining the option of selling to an international buyer.  Attendees will learn about the recent updates to the Alberta Provincial Nominee Program and determine if this avenue is the right option for them.

SuccessionMatching staff will also provide expert guidance to attendees after the workshop to help them through this complex decision making process.

No cost to you as a business owner through the sponsorship of Community Futures.

After filling out this questionnaire, a member of the SuccessionMatching Team will send you the video and workbook.

Please note: Privacy is extremely important to individuals going through this process and we do not sell or share your personal information to outside parties, the data collected is used internally to help the individual through next steps and to match them to resources available.

Our story:

Our mission is to change the way individuals get into business by helping them purchase businesses from their family, current employer or third party. This first step in this process is to help ensure that both the buyer and seller understand the business transition process.

CFIB’s Nov. 2018 report titled, “Getting the Transition Right,” shows that only 8% of current business owners have a formal succession plan. Developing a formal succession plan continues to be a challenge for SME owners in part because of the high cost of access to good succession planning resources.
